Stories of transition paired with Beautiful Artwork!
Working in Hospice presented many ways to die so I asked Source to show me how to be of service to the sick and dying outside the medical system.
CAREFUL WHAT YOU ASK FOR!
In my spiritual quest, I journeyed with a shaman in the Arizona desert, learning how to see the ‘whole person’ instead of just treating the parts. As an artist, combining the ‘art’ of the dying stories with visual art of photography brings the whole person into the reality that death is beautiful and can help you release any fear of dying. Stories are told from the perspective of the one who experienced the event and keeps the memory alive. The Art in this book is a loving presentation from Sylvia DeVoss using digitally enhanced photos as well as many from my journey in the world of photography. ORDER Before September 30th, 2024! Many medical facilities and hospices are struggling to survive in an ever more challenging environment of regulatory scrutiny, demands for compliance and financial constraints impacting staff retention. The adoption of organizational survival modes may have a negative impact on the unique characteristics that are the hallmark of quality end-of-life care. Education of staff providing quality care at end-of-life is almost non-existent for many reasons.
Returning to the original principles upon which end-of-life care was founded, this work will share core behaviors for the person to practice and understand the role of the Mystery Watcher. These behaviors, as well as the developmental journey through presencing with the dying, are based on long-forgotten cultural teachings, nursing and social work research, attenuated by over 25 years of end-of-life nursing practice.
