Science of Beliefs
Beliefs are often thought of as spiritual or religious, however there are political and personal beliefs that impact every aspect of our lives. The combination of the two concepts is to bridge the world between knowing something as reality and discovering the scientific application that indicates it is reality.
“The ‘secret to life’ is BELIEF. Rather than genes, it is our beliefs that control our lives. PSYCH-K® is a simple, self-empowering process to change your beliefs and perceptions that impact your life at a cellular level.”
—Bruce H. Lipton, Ph.D. Cellular Biologist, author of Biology of Belief: Unleashing the Power of Consciousness, Matter and Miracles
Science & Spirituality
Originally, science was part of the religious leaders’ responsibility. Then there was a clear separation of viewpoints during the nineteenth century. With the discovery and acceptance of quantum theory, the observer effect, entanglement, and current cutting edge research, there appears to be a merging of concepts regarding oneness, unity, and interconnectedness.
“Since mental phenomena, such as consciousness, thoughts, images, and emotions, were not physical, the mind had to be either ignored or regarded as a property of matter… the mind could not ‘exist’ unless it was reduced to something purely physical, the ‘gray matter’ of the brain. By the early twentieth century it was becoming clear to physicists that certain properties of matter itself depend on the role of the observer—mind and matter are not independent from each other. Could it be that both mind and matter are real, part of nature, and intimately interconnected?”
—B. Alan Wallace and Brian Hodel, authors (during the nineteenth century)
Embracing The Mind: The Common Ground of Science & Spirituality
The words or terms used may be different such as nature, matrix, universe, God or creator but the implication is the same. We are ALL ONE. What happens to one, affects the whole! Do unto others what you would have them do Unto YOU!!! Treat
“A human being is part of the whole, called by us ‘universe’; a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest—a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.”
— Albert Einstein
“In essence, science and spirituality, though differing in their approaches, share the same end, which is the betterment of humanity.”
— Dalai Lama, as quoted in Embracing Mind
Our journey in this life begins in being separate from others, only to learn to depend on our own free-will choices to develop a healthy self-esteem. This process can take many years to accomplish, however once we are worthy, we no longer need to depend on what is outside because we realize we are ONE with everyone and everything. By becoming part of the whole, the collective consciousness and the Universe allows us to live our destiny. How do we accomplish this?
Using Muscle Testing you can communicate with the subconscious and Superconscious influences in your life. Find out how spiritually supports YOU in understanding your Destiny and by helping you identify and remove the filters of limitation. You can then reconnect with your inner wisdom and spirit. We can attempt to explain this process in scientific terms, yet ultimately it is more aligned with spiritual awareness. You can chose to experience life as you always have or you can explore more options. . . it’s YOUR choice.
Intention is ‘an act or instance of determining mentally upon some action or result.’ Historically, action such as physical activity or behavior was necessary to achieve the results. However, current research is indicating that a thought itself may produce certain results.
“Targeting your thoughts—or what scientists ponderously refer to as ‘intention’ or intentionality’—appeared to produce an energy potent enough to change physical reality. A simple thought seemed to have the power to change our world.”
— Lynne McTaggart, author The Intention Experiment and The Field: The Quest for the Secret Force of the Universe
The impact of intention is about coherency, being aligned together, providing the powerful influence. When there is confusion or chaos – incoherency – the impact is reduced or eliminated.
When our conscious desires or demands are different from our subconscious programs, the lack of coherency shuts down our probabilities of success. By aligning your subconscious beliefs with your conscious goals and ensuring support from spirit or universe, achievement can BE miraculous.
The term placebo is used in medicine to represent sugar pills or false treatments. Quality research studies require a comparison to a placebo. The frustration to researchers and fascination to others is that often one-third of the placebo candidates experience the expected improvements. Those candidates had a belief in the drug, surgery or provided care. Their belief created the results.
“Beliefs can be a major source of illness and a major force in treatment.”
— Herbert Benson, M.D., Timeless Healing
Makes you wonder why placebo or beliefs are being dismissed as a bother in the research results rather than creating curiosity and direct research…

Emotions may create an internal awareness or may be externally demonstrated. Either way, they have a biological influence within our physical body. If you react to a spider with fear, you may avoid looking at it or you may scream and run away. Someone else thinks the spider is cool and tries to pick it up. It is not about the spider, it is about what you believe or your perceptions about spiders. The fear response (fight, flight or freeze) creates known documented physical changes in the body. Your mind’s perceptions or beliefs impacts how the internal physical body responds.
“If we accept the idea that peptides and other informational substances (molecules) are the biochemicals of emotion, their distribution in the body’s nerves has all kinds of significance… The body is the unconscious mind! Repressed traumas caused by overwhelming emotion can be stored in a body part, thereafter affecting (it).”
— Candace B. Pert, Ph.D., author Molecules of Emotion
By changing your perceptions and beliefs, you can change the impact on your physical health, peace of mind and joy in life.
Right and Left Brain Hemispheres
Although there is some disagreement about the details, neuroscientists agree that the two brain hemispheres, the right and the left, approach the processing and interpretation of our world and experiences in different ways. However, they are designed to work together to provide us with an integrated, balanced perspective of life…a whole-brained approach.
When we experience what our subconscious identifies as a ‘traumatic event’ in our lives, the corpus callous redirects the communication from the neocortex (upper thought processes in our conscious mind) to the hindbrain (called the reptilian brain) where responses are much faster and allows us to get away from the traumatic event. This leaves us with subconscious beliefs that we are in harms way until we are able to restore the pathway through the corpus callous to the higher thought process in the conscious mind. This keeps the ‘stress response’ active in the system.
“Because our two hemispheres are so neuronally integrated via the corpus callosum, virtually every cognitive behavior we exhibit involves activity in both hemispheres – they simply do it differently… as two complementary halves of a whole rather than as two individual entities or identities.”
— Jill Bolte Taylor, Ph.D., author My Stroke of Insight
The Left Hemisphere
- Analyzes information
- Controls and Orders
- Processes Parts
- Sequential Processor
The Right Hemisphere
- Synthesizes Information
- Spontaneous and Free
- Sees the big picture
- Simultaneous Processor
Creating a whole-brained, integrated state, opening the communication through the corpus callosum to both hemispheres of the brain is a foundational aspect of the PSYCH-K® Balance. Being able to access both approaches as needed provides us with choices and options as well as a calm, centered stress-free response.

Neuroscientist have documented some of the results of Balances using PSYCH-K®. One such example is from Dr. Jeffery Fannin’s article .
